10 Things We Are Most Excited About! Icon of the Seas

The Icon of the Seas by Royal Caribbean is a brand new ship coming in 2024 and here at Byte Size Cruises we cannot wait! This ship will be the largest water park on the seas and bring a whole new adventure to cruising. Here are the Top 10 Things we are the most excited to experience on this ship next year. 

1: Family Neighborhood. This is a space on the ship made especially for families with children where they can spend quality time together. If you are bringing your kids with you for a family vacation, this will be a wonderful new space for you to have fun together. Likewise, if you do not have children, this focused area will most likely centralize the kids activities and leave other spaces on the ship as kid-free zones. (Photo One)

2: The Aqua Dome. This is an indoor aqua entertainment dome where Icon of the Seas will feature different shows throughout the cruise. In this space, there will also be food, shopping, and other spaces to relax and enjoy yourself, all without worrying about weather. 

3: The Crowns Edge. For all of you adventure seekers, this attraction is for you. Cruisers will be able to gear up for protection and walk out on a platform on the side of the ship. In a blink, the platform will drop and you will zipline around the outside of this ship, for amazing views and an adrenaline rush. (Photo Two) 

4: The Hideaway. This will be an exclusive area with an infinity pool that looks directly over the back of this ship for an amazing view. This will absolutely be the best place to catch sunrises, sunsets, and everything in between!

5: Cloud 17. This will be the adults only area of the pool deck with a private bar space, a lounge area, and more. Since they are doing away with the Solarium, this will be a nice addition to this ship.

6: The Royal Promenade. This staple of Royal Caribbean is getting an upgrade! On Icon of the Seas, the Promenade will be two stories and wrap partially around the ship. Instead of just being down the middle of the ship, they will be giving you some outside views. There will be new food options, new shops, and at the end of the Promenade will be the new ice skating rink. This new rink will be larger and circular, which will give you better views for the entertainment. Definitely worth checking out! (Photo 3)

7: The Aqua Dome Market. This is a great idea that Royal Caribbean is taking from Norwegian and adding a new twist to it. This is going to be a wide variety of grab and go options that will all be included in your cruising experience. 

8: The Empire Supper Club. Here at Byte Size Cruises, we love food, and this is one experience we are definitely looking forward to. This will be an eight course premium dinner right off of Central Park. There isn’t a lot of information out yet about this but we are excited to learn more. (Photo 4)

9: 6 WATER SLIDES! There will be slides with family tubes, single man slides, and more! This will create a water park experience unlike anything else on the high seas. (Photo 5)

10: Dueling Pianos. Last but not least, we love dueling pianos. It’s loud, it’s fun, good music, good voices, and just a ton of fun, and Royal Caribbean is bringing that to Icon of the seas! (Photo 6)
